What is a fabricated welded tee?
A welded tee is a branch connection fabricated from pipe rather than forged as a wrought fitting — used for large diameters and reducing or lateral branches beyond the ASME B16.9 range. Reinforcement and wall thickness are set by the design code, ASME B31.3 or AWWA C208.
