Questions & Answers

What is a concentric reducer?

A concentric reducer is a cone-shaped buttweld fitting that changes pipe size while keeping both ends on the same centreline. It is the standard choice for vertical lines and wherever the pipe centreline should stay constant.

What is the difference between a concentric and an eccentric reducer?

A concentric reducer keeps both ends on a common centreline, so it suits vertical runs. An eccentric reducer offsets the centrelines so one side stays flat — installed flat-side-up it prevents air pockets on pump suction lines, and flat-side-down it lets a horizontal line drain completely.

What size range do you supply for concentric reducers?

1″–24″ DN25–600. Other sizes can usually be supplied on request — send your requirement for confirmation.

Which standards and grades are available?

ASME B16.9 / A234: WPA · WPB · EN 10253-2: P235 · P265 · S235 · S265 · DIN 2616: St35.8 · St37 · St44. See the datasheet for the complete list.

What materials are offered?

A234 WPB · WPL6 (LT).

Is a technical datasheet available?

Yes — the official YTM Pipe datasheet with dimensions, materials and standards can be downloaded on this page.

How do I get a price?
