What is a buttweld pipe cap?
A pipe cap is a domed buttweld fitting welded onto the end of a pipe to close it off permanently, rated for the same pressure as the pipe. Dimensions follow ASME B16.9 or EN 10253-2, usually in ASTM A234 WPB.
