ERW / EFW / HFW Pipes
Pipe formed from steel coil and joined by electric welding — high-frequency resistance (ERW / HFW) or electric fusion (EFW) — with no filler metal. Cost-effective for small- to medium-diameter water, line-pipe and structural use.

Questions & Answers
What is ERW pipe?
ERW (electric resistance welded) pipe is made by cold-forming steel strip into a cylinder and joining the edges with a longitudinal weld created by electrical resistance heating — no filler metal is used. HFW is the high-frequency version of the same process. It is widely used for line pipe, water lines and structural applications.
What is the difference between ERW, EFW and HFW pipe?
All three are welded pipe. ERW and HFW join the edges by resistance heating without filler metal, HFW using high-frequency current. EFW (electric fusion welded) uses an arc process with filler metal, and is covered by standards such as EN 10217 and ASTM A671/A672 rather than the API 5L ERW route.
What outside ø · 2″–16″ do you supply for erw / efw / hfw pipes?
60.3–406.4 mm. Other sizes can usually be supplied on request — send your requirement for confirmation.
