Questions & Answers

What is an eccentric reducer?

An eccentric reducer changes pipe size with the two ends offset rather than sharing a centreline, so one side of the fitting stays flat. This lets horizontal lines drain or avoid trapping air where a concentric reducer would not.

Should the flat side be up or down?

Flat side up (FOT) is used on pump suction lines so air cannot collect at the high point and cavitate the pump. Flat side down (FOB) is used where the line must drain completely. State FOT or FOB when ordering.

What size range do you supply for eccentric reducers?

1″–24″ DN25–600. Other sizes can usually be supplied on request — send your requirement for confirmation.

Which standards and grades are available?

ASME B16.9 / A234: WPA · WPB · EN 10253-2: P235 · P265 · S235 · S265 · DIN 2616: St35.8 · St37 · St44. See the datasheet for the complete list.

What materials are offered?

A234 WPB · WPL6 (LT).

Is a technical datasheet available?

Yes — the official YTM Pipe datasheet with dimensions, materials and standards can be downloaded on this page.

How do I get a price?
